Historical

Paddy Lewis is the traditional custodian for the site referred to as Minna Minna. This site is associated with the creation stories for the “water dreaming” or Tjukurrpa in this region. Paddy is the father of Dorothy Napangardi.

Painting

Paddy started painting for the Warlukurlangu Arts Centre in the 1980’s. His traditional style for depicting the iconography associated with the Minna Minna dreaming site has provided a significant historical record of the designs used for the traditional sand mosaics during tribal ceremony.
