Warlimpirringa was approximately 25 years old, when his family group of nine Pintupi people came in from the Gibson Desert of Western Australia in 1984.They were reunited with relatives that had not seen them for twenty – five years. Warlimpirringa has two skin brothers Thomas and Walala. His first solo exhibition being acquired by the National Gallery of Victoria.

Painting

Warlimpirringa began painting in 1987, along with his brothers Thomas and Walala. The main theme of his works being the traditional Tingari
